I would like to inform you that the Pharm.D 4th Year students of Mallareddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MRIPS), along with one of our faculty Ms. V. Harika, attended the Workshop on “Scheme for Strengthening of Medical Device Industry (DoP–LSSSDC)” on 20th February 2026.

The workshop was organized by the , Government of India, in association with  (NIPER Hyderabad), and managed by the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC). The session was conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Auditorium, NIPER Hyderabad.

The workshop aimed to promote government initiatives supporting the growth of the medical device industry in India. The following two major schemes were discussed in detail:

• Marginal Investment Scheme for Reducing Import Dependence (Financial Outlay – ₹180 Crore)
• Medical Device Clinical Study Support Scheme (Financial Outlay – ₹100 Crore)

The speakers provided detailed insights into the objectives, eligibility criteria, financial assistance, and implementation strategies of these schemes. The session was highly informative and beneficial, enhancing students’ understanding of government support for innovation and development in the medical device sector.
